As the sun began to set on 27th February 2026, Afi came together for a special Iftar gathering that celebrated more than the breaking of a fast it celebrated unity, respect, and togetherness. As the time drew closer to 5:30 PM, tables were arranged with a colourful feast, while Afi staff gathered side by side to take part in the religious observances.
In keeping with tradition, the fast was broken with dates and water. The staff were then treated to a generous feast of biriyani and traditional side dishes, refreshing cups of faluda, and sweet, indulgent watalappan.
The evening was made memorable by delicious food, shared laughter, and the sense of togetherness among team members. As people of diverse beliefs, traditions, and religions came together under one roof to take part in a shared celebration, the true essence of Afi was brought to life. Together, we grow not only as colleagues, but as a family that celebrates and embraces one another’s traditions and cherishes the moments that bring us closer together.
